The “Art” of Giving
Here’s a wonderful philanthropic team building program that enables your group to create beautiful multi-panel murals for placement in local children’s hospitals, nursing homes, family shelters, etc. It’s an opportunity to foster important team building skills among your own employees, while brightening the lives of others in your own community. We manage to instill a great sense of accomplishment while making the final artwork itself pretty much foolproof (this in itself is something of an art).
TeamBonding has created a series of graphics specifically to look great on six- or eight-panel murals. Each framed canvas panel measures 24” square. Once completed, these designs never fail to bring smiles to every face in the room. Your group can choose from a variety of nature-inspired scenes. You may also want to assign one team a teamwork-themed mural for your own workplace. Or let us custom-design something using your company logo.
Once teams and images are selected, we project outlines onto a wall. Teams trace the outlines, then paint them, checking with other teams to insure good alignment. Next, they choose a color scheme, another step that encourages cooperation between groups. Naturally, we provide all materials and are happy to help with any and all steps of the process.
While completed panels dry, all team members participate in a series of fun and exciting team builder challenges. Don’t let the laughter fool you – the powerful skills and tools learned here will go a long way toward increasing productivity and communication back at the office. At your request, we’ll try to arrange for a representative of the facility to accept your mural donation and thank your group.
When done right, corporate citizenship is a beautiful thing indeed.

Beehive Building
What if a corporate team building activity could stimulate employee teamwork while helping stimulate income generation for people in a developing country? Leave it to teambonding to find a way…in this fun and competitive team building activity, your teams test their wits as they embark a wild and wacky scavenger hunt. We at teambonding are famous for our creative, hilarious corporate scavenger hunts, having raised this pursuit to something of an art form.
Afterward, everyone settles in to the construction of beehive frames. These are donated to an enterprising women’s cooperative in Mexicali, Mexico that has embraced beekeeping as a way to generate family income. Your participation makes it possible for these women to produce and sell beeswax candles, honey-flavored baked goods, healing salves, bee pollen, hand and facial creams and more.

At the end of the day, you succeed in raising morale, stimulating cooperation and boosting motivation, all while making a meaningful contribution to a community in need. This really is one event where everybody wins.
“I learned that one must never underestimate the act of giving, no matter how small and insignificant it may seem. Building 30 beehives seemed like such a minor contribution. However, my husband and I later met a local Jamaican who provided a guided tour of the island. We saw firsthand the poverty and how so many live. We shared our Citigroup’s beehive-building activity. Our guide was so touched by our generosity and idea of Citi’s activity while we were traveling and he hoped we understood the impact and kindness of our contribution. However little it may have seemed to us, it was an appreciated gift. We wished we could have had the materials to build 100 hives!”

Build-a-Boat
It’s sink or swim time – will your team come out high and dry, or end up all wet? In this wildly wacky event, participants divide into small project teams. Teams are charged with the challenge of building a useable raft from a limited supply of resources (barrels, boards, and rope.) One key factor – all members of your crew need to coordinate their efforts to brainstorm, create and build the raft.
Once afloat, each vessel must be capable of transporting several team members, along with a team flag. Everyone will navigate through an obstacle course, out to a dock or buoy, then (hopefully) all the way back to shore. Here’s your chance to be Huckleberry Finn, except that in our version everyone wears a lifejacket!
We’ve also had tremendous success augmenting this program with an orienteering exercise in which teams must locate find the materials to build their raft. Think of it as the corporate scavenger hunt variation. Either way, our boat building extravaganza is a prime example of nurturing team spirit using levity and laughter in a safe but unfamiliar context.

Build Your Own Mini Golf Course
Whether or not you’re at home on the fairway, this is a great team building event that lets everyone get involved in a meaningful way. Your group is divided into teams, each of which will be responsible for designing and building several golf holes.
The idea here is to make each hole fun, challenging and conceptual – in many ways the overall approach is closer to miniature golf. We provide a rich assortment of tubes, pipes, boxes, lumber and other whimsical building supplies to put success within everybody’s reach. Once the final course has been constructed, teams select representatives to actually play the course. Other team members serve as official scorers and course marshals. Throughout the program, your Teambonding Master of Ceremonies and event staff keep everything moving smoothly, with sound and music adding yet another dimension.

The beauty of this program is that the entire course, as well as individual holes, can be customized to dovetail with your meeting/convention theme, company product line, etc. Customization also provides a nice opportunity to segue into a training session or group discussion.

Catapult to Success
Catapult your team to success with this highly involving design and build program. Participants are challenged to dream up and create their own fully functioning catapults, then fine-tune their ideas for maximum impact. Here, everybody needs to work together to get an idea off the ground. Your teambonding facilitators provide each team with a unique set of materials, plus a budget for buying additional items from competing teams.
Winning requires shrewd negotiation, effective brainstorming, prototyping, testing and fine-tuning. Above all, it requires teamwork! After teams compete with one another, we shift to an all-for-one mentality where everyone works together to create the most effective and efficient catapult.
Catapult to Success is a great choice when you desire an event that effectively incorporates cooperation, team problem solving, strategizing, decision making and team awareness. Charity Bike Build – Together We Care
We all want to make a difference in this world. Here’s a team building activity that offers a rare opportunity to actually make a difference, with immediate, tangible results built into the process. In a recent event for 1,100 people in Phoenix, our client came up with the perfect slogan, “Together We Care!”.
Armed with wrenches and enthusiasm, your teams race to construct the ultimate human-powered, no-gasoline-needed rocket – children’s bicycles. Meanwhile, other teammates are navigating fun, innovative puzzles and challenges to earn enough “money” for purchasing that last crucial part needed to make their team’s bike the first off the line.
The final bell rings. You wheel your mechanical marvels to the presentation/start line. Everyone is poised to present their bike and accompanying TV commercial when a door at the end of the room bursts open. Suddenly, you see the excited faces of underserved children from your own community! Imagine the delight and surprise that fill the room when everybody learns these kids actually get to take your new bicycles home with them. For most of the children involved, typically ages 8-12, this will be their first bicycle!
This is an extraordinary way to infuse a conference with energy, create a feeling of immense good will and a sense of meaning larger than day-to-day work challenges. We partner with charities such as Boys and Girls Club and Bikes for Tykes. Or we’re happy to partner with a local charity of your choice.
In typical teambonding style, we take care of all the logistics, making you look good while making the whole event simple and painless. Remember, keep this one a surprise for the participants – don’t spill the beans! The surprise value of the big finale cannot be overstated.
Outcomes
- Foster teamwork and cooperation
- Creative, energetic challenge
- Enhance communication skills
- Give back to the community
Features
- This fun-filled team challenge results in real bicycles for real kids in need!
Ideal Usage
- Annual events
- Company picnics
- Community service days
Group Size

Many of the participants have young children, and it inspired them to do their best, knowing that the bikes they were building were going toward such a worthy cause. The Teambonding team was wonderful to work with and provided a very rewarding and entertaining evening for our group.
- Thank you for once again for providing a top notch event. We look forward to working with you again next year.”

Hot-Cha-Cha Chili Cook-Off
The searing flavors of this fiery festival guarantee that our Hot-Cha-Cha Chili Cook-Off brings the five-alarm fun. Does your team have a fire in the belly when it comes to their chili recipe? Think they can bring red-hot heat and be crowned chili champion? Then step on up, partners! Show off that chili machismo as you vie for succulent spicy success!
Teams will start out with the basic chili necessities (the meat and tomatoes, if you will). Ye Olde General Store is open for teams to purchase more ingredients. But teams had better leave their inner-bandito at home. The sheriff keeps a watchful eye and doesn’t take too kindly to sneak-thievin’. Teams can also negotiate with the hombres from other teams for those last minute needs. But no tusslin’. Sheriff’ll ride you right out of town for that.
If your chili recipe is definitely blue ribbon material bring it on! Us judges have certainly polished our belt-buckles around a few pots of Texas Red in the past. Shucks, even got some stuck in our cookie dusters. We know good chuck. So make sure your chili is a true hot tamale! The Hot-Cha-Cha Chili Cook-Off is both hot and chili con cool!

Negotiation, team building skills and good communication – not to mention singing ability – are all essential ingredients for success in this fun and engaging program.

Chocolate Company Challenge
Your group will feel like kids in a candy store throughout this delicious team builder! Every activity is built around chocolate, that magical delicacy long known as “food of the gods.”
We get everybody started with the manic fun of Full Contact Chocolate Bingo. The next hilarious challenge, Towering Chocolate, sharpens problem solving and innovation skills as teams work to build the tallest possible freestanding chocolate tower. Our grand finale – a wild building event that involves everyone. Defy laws of physics and gravity as you help Wonka, Inc. build a Bridge Over Chocolate Waters.
Program emphasis can either be competitive (just for fun) or collaborative (big picture thinking) depending on your group’s goals. As with all teambonding programs, there’s lots of room for customization. Tasty options include You’re in the Game of Chocolate, a fast-paced trivia game played either seated at team tables or moving around a giant game board. We can also provide a working chocolate fountain, something that always goes over well. Prizes? Aprons sporting your company logo or Giant Hershey Bars? Just say the word.

The games that we played prior to the actual chocolate event were great because we got to get a little bit physical and we laughed A LOT!!! The chocolate events were wonderful, too – I think we all loved the competitive edge.
- I can’t say enough about what a great day it was. I was pleased with the outcome from the moment it was over, but I didn’t expect staff to be as excited and appreciative of it as they have been. I will definitely be doing this again!”

DaVinci’s Museum Adventure
Now your company can experience the thrill of the search for the ancient Grail, complete with all the excitement of the best seller. This is typically staged in an art museum in your city (The Met, Getty, the National Museum of Art, etc.). Teams use detailed maps while interacting with the artwork searching for clues that will help them break the mysterious Cryptex Code. A great team building exercise that incorporates appreciation, intrigue and adventure.
Teams use maps of the museum which indicate where clues can be found. Your sleuths must first navigate to the right piece of artwork, then detect the correct answer within each piece. Once assembled, the full collection of clues helps teams find the key to the treasure chest hidden somewhere in the museum.
The climax occurs when a team finally gets to open the chest itself. This grand opening can take place within the museum, at a nearby restaurant, or at your meeting. You supply the treasure…we’ll supply the excitement.
Outcomes

Corporate America’s Idol
Presenting karaoke with a twist – your group, divided into teams, will actually rewrite the lyrics to familiar hits, then lead the entire group in an uproarious sing-along.
Each team receives a CD player and CD, markers and flip chart. The groups move to a secluded area, pop in their CDs and proceed to write their own lyrics to the songs they’ve been given. These lyrics will be transferred onto the flip chart for use as cue cards during the sing-along. But don’t expect love songs – as part of the challenge, the new lyrics must address specific corporate issues. Thus, teambonding can cleverly customize your event to position key product information, underscore marketing or sales initiatives, or create a highly motivational call to action.
The big evening performance features a professional teambonding Master of Ceremonies, plus all the trappings of a real concert. This can include a draped stage area, stage lights, smoke machine, etc. We also provide a large prop box filled with fun and funky performance-enhancing accessories. No wonder so many clients arrange to have their event videotaped!

The Corporate Impostor
Here’s a great way to add levity to your next event while underscoring information that’s important to you. We provide a top corporate impostor – these really are amazingly talented people – who works closely with you to create an impostor character. This hoax includes specialized content, along with a strategy designed to fool your entire group.
At the event, simply introduce our impostor to your audience as a newly hired executive, overseas director, industry consultant or expert in the field. Then sit back and enjoy the show. The speech begins very seriously, covering hot company and industry topics you’ve provided. He will be absolutely convincing, using jargon and terms specific to your business or industry. But after a few moments, the speech gradually begins sounding more and more ridiculous. The impostor starts to slip in a few jokes here and there. Then, things get down right outrageous.
Eventually, it dawns on your group that the whole thing is a clever prank. The impostor finally lets them in on the joke, revealing that he is in truth a comedian and a magician. What a relief! This is a great morale booster, adding a nice dimension the whole notion of team building.
Corporate clients who have booked the Corporate Impostor in the past include American Society of Radiologists, American Banking Association, BankEast, Community General Hospital

CCSI – Corporate Crime Scene Investigation
The Game: Here’s your chance to be just like Grissom, Willows, Stokes and Captain Brass as you take on your own specially designed CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION, just like the forensic experts do on that very popular TV show.
An actual CRIME SCENE will be created for you and your guests – yes, right on the premises of your meeting, dinner or special corporate event. Your group then breaks up into several smaller CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION TEAMS. Each sets out in a feverish effort to be the first team to get to the bottom of crime.
Each team will get to examine the crime scene, dust for prints, sift for clues, and scout out evidence to aid in the CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION. They’ll receive information via investigation, autopsy, ballistics, and trace reports. They’ll also get opportunities to grill actual murder suspects (played by acclaimed teambonding CharActors).
CORPORATE CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION is part murder mystery, part board game, and part scavenger hunt all rolled into one. But with this wildly fun event, your guests do all the sleuthing. What an excellent team builder!

Conflict Resolution Workshop
Edward Deming, the father of quality management, has said that people can face almost any problem except the problem of people. They can work long hours, face declining business, even the loss of a job, but they can’t deal with the difficult people in their lives. When individuals work together closely on difficult projects or to meet tight deadlines, it is only natural for conflict to develop. However, managing conflict appropriately can be the difference between a simple “bump in the road” or lost productivity and long-term animosity.
From conflict to connectedness, The Thomas Kilmann Inventory conflict resolution workshops assess styles of conflict in the workplace. Using the results of this inventory, the facilitator will show how natural conflict-handling styles can be refined. Conflict resolution strategies are introduced and honed to engender a workplace culture equipped to handle conflict.
The Conflict Resolution Workshops WILL:
- Initiate dialogue to prevent conflicts from peaking
- Encourage individuals to address rather than avoid conflict
- Show the progressive steps that most conflicts follow and demonstrate how individuals can identify these steps
- Provide detailed information about when a natural conflict-handling style is beneficial or inappropriate
- Identify proven conflict resolution strategies and methods
- Alleviate the fear, anger, and frustration associated with conflict
- Illustrate how to manage differences quickly and effectively
Outcomes
- Prevented loss of productivity
- Decreased “blow out” level conflicts
- An informed group that can identify and therefore negative aspects of conflict
- A higher functioning group
- Increased communication
- Diminishment of stress often caused by relationship friction
- Recognition that conflict is unavoidable and a healthy natural function of any intact team
- A cooperative atmosphere

Teams will need to earn a reusable tote bag to put the food in, materials to decorate the bag, and the food to place in the bag. The teams will also write a personal letter that will accompany the food bag, which is given to a local family in need.

Ice Sculpting
Let’s get this out of the way right up front: no, we don’t do ice sculpting with chain saws. teambonding is known for stretching the boundaries of fun, but even we have our limits. What you do get is an interesting, out-of-the-ordinary team building experience that serves as a great…uh…icebreaker. Seriously, this is a cool thing most people have never done before, and everybody tends to really enjoy it.
So how does it work? Participants to split up into teams, their ultimate goal being to sculpt a big block of ice into a masterpiece, demonstrating just how powerful frozen water (and teamwork) can be. Once teams are assembled, everybody gets to watch an impressive demonstration by a genuine Mater Ice Sculptor. Your group will learn all about the tools and techniques required. Teams then get right to work. Each group is charged with the task of planning, designing, building, displaying and lighting their very own ice sculpture.
The results are fun, funny, and sometimes pretty impressive. As with all of our events, you get the famous teambonding touch – our facilitators are very good at engaging hearts and minds, and laughter is one of our secret weapons. In the Company of Killers
A truly custom murder mystery is the most unique corporate entertainment you’ll ever see. Which helps explain why this is our most popular mystery. Leave it to teambonding to combine comedy, mystery, music (a strolling musician) and audience participation into one exciting event completely for and about your company.
You and your guests begin by meeting four of the most outlandish and interesting characters you’ve ever seen. Motives pop up. Clues are discovered. Then, suddenly, a murder occurs! Now the fun really begins. Who committed this terrible crime? You’ll get to question suspects as you work to solve the crime, and even get questionable help of our comic detective along the way!
This mystery is custom-scripted for your company – a simple three-page questionnaire gives us all the ammunition we need to make your event a rousing success. It’s helpful to know what your guests are like. Who may want to be more “involved” in the show? What will make this an event to remember for everyone involved? It all adds up to a personalized event that’s entertaining, funny and exciting.

Indianapolis Jones and The Golden Idol
Based loosely on the Indiana Jones story, The Golden Idol is a fun, high-energy team building adventure that sends your group scurrying for specific items and clues, all of which eventually reveal the location of a priceless stolen treasure. A true team activity in every sense of the word, participants are called upon to use their deductive skills, clear communication and effective teamwork in order to succeed.
This program is hosted by two professional corporate comedians (playing Indianapolis and the evil Baron) who also act as facilitators. Their animation and interactive comedy bring this to life and make it yet another one-of-a-kind teambonding event.
Challenges include interpreting cryptic clues, gathering key information and locating specific destinations. The comedic format is driven by the threatening arrival of Baron Otto Matic, the villain who has stolen and hidden The Golden Idol. The first team back with the correct location will be celebrated as the winners. A fitting reward awaits, once Indiana Jones has neatly dispatched Baron Von Otto Matic once and for all.

It’s Not Rocket Science
Astronauts and Ground Control work together on this white-knuckle mission to rescue the stranded astronauts and safely bring them back to Earth. Remember – in deep space, failure is not an option!
We begin by dividing everybody into teams. Everybody tackles a quick series of problem solving games and communications training exercises. Next, teams are further divided into Ground Control and Space Capsule Crew, with walkie-talkies providing the only means of communication. Each team must complete a series of mind-boggling missions, earning points based on their performance in each event.

Brainstorming and problem-solving skills are required throughout, as teams work their way through hilarious challenges like Team Juggling, T-2 Tower, The Electric Fence, and The Great Escape. The big finale, “Houston, We Have A Problem,” requires teams to draw upon everything they’ve learned together thus far in order to deliver six fragile astronauts (okay, actually they’re raw eggs) back to Earth unharmed.
Teambonding provides everything needed to make your program a memorable success – all materials, supplies and staff, plus video, sound and music to really bring the event to life. Cosmic danger has never been this much fun!

Just Desserts
The newest addition to our acclaimed Team Cuisine series encompasses all of the proven team building components of our popular lunch/dinner events, but concentrates on everyone’s favorite part of the meal – dessert! Just Desserts is the perfect choice for an after lunch or dinner program, or as a refreshing way to break up a day of meetings. Preparing and sharing these delicious treats offers a fabulous opportunity for bonding.
Your group is first divided into teams. The fun begins right away as each team comes up with a team name, plus a unique team cheer or rallying cry. This in itself can be quite hilarious, and helps set a tone of excitement and friendly competition for the rest of the event.
Next, each team is challenged to create desserts that look every bit as delicious as they taste. Every team prepares one or more mouthwatering treats worthy of a top French patisserie. Teambonding makes your job easy by providing all necessary ingredients, utensils and recipes. Rest assured, every dish will be made from scratch. No slice n’ bake here – your group deserves the best!
Once complete, all of the tempting creations will be showcased on a Grand Buffet. Everyone can now sample each creation. Then in come the judges. The day’s champions are chosen based on product taste and presentation, with points also awarded for the leadership and teamwork that went into each team’s effort. We can also customize additional judging categories to help underscore a conference or event theme, company goals, or anything else you’d like to emphasize.
A short debrief follows, giving teams the opportunity to share their team names and cheers, plus discuss what they’ve learned about working as a team. We find there are always important lessons that any group can implement immediately once they’re back in the workplace. How sweet it is!
Outcomes
- Fun and camaraderie
- Creative thinking
- Teamwork in an unfamiliar setting
- Boost morale
Features
- Teams create their own desserts from scratch!
Ideal Usage
- Following lunch or dinner
- Company outings/celebrations
- Kicking off training seminars
- New product launches
Group Size
- 12-250
Time
- 2 – 4 hours, depending on your specific needs and group size
Space
- Each team will need a table large enough to accommodate dessert preparation. You’ll want a room large enough to accommodate these tables. Very large events can be done in a ballroom or outdoors.
Keys to Success
This high-spirited, one-of-a-kind hunt challenges teams to locate and open several special lock boxes hidden throughout the event area. Each box contains an essential clue needed to solve the big puzzle and locate the final treasure. Sounds simple enough, right? Well, there’s one slight catch: each box is secured with a different lock, and each team begins the event with only a couple of keys.
So exactly how do you collect all the keys necessary for victory? If you’re alert and have an eye for detail, you’ll discover some on your own. Others can only be secured through shrewd trading with other teams. You’ll have chances to win still more keys in a wild and wacky series of physical challenges. Past events have included rock-paper-scissors, three-legged races, even paper airplane throwing contests – as far as we’re concerned, the sky’s the limit.
This popular team building event helps bring out participants’ sense of humor and spirit of adventure, but you’ll also find yourselves drawing on important skills like organization, negotiation, and teamwork. It’s an extremely effective way to foster esprit de corps while challenging your people to rely on their brains – and their teammates – in a non-threatening, fun and funny context. In short, it’s a change of pace with a purpose.

“Make-a-Movie” Film Festival
There’s nothing quite like a camera to bring out peoples’ expressive side. And nothing like movie making to bring your team together and get them working as a team.
In this highly involving cinematic adventure, participants are divided into groups representing competing film production companies. The challenge: create the next Hollywood blockbuster. In some ways, making movies with teambonding is a lot like doing it in the real world – each team has cameras, a budget and a deadline. After a short briefing, everybody gets down to business. Teams need to allocate themselves to the many roles required to produce a hit movie. Who will be the actors? Who’s going to direct? And what about a camera operator, props and costumes, even a movie-house marketing group? Clearly, serious teamwork will be essential for success in this anything-but-serious event.

The excitement is contagious as each team screens their masterpiece for the rest of the group. It’s fun. It’s funny. And you can literally stand back and watch people loosen up, genuine smiles bubbling to the surface. It all comes to a delightful climax with a glitzy award ceremony, hosted by none other than Bill Colons, esteemed head of the Canned Academy Committee.
And the winner is…
Outcomes
- Teamwork
- Tap into new avenues of creativity
- Provides a large doses of fun
- Project management/organization skills
Features
- Teams write, direct and star in their own mini-movies, immortalized on DVD!

I truly appreciate the time your team spent in planning these activities and the detail and organization involved in them. Teambonding truly made the meeting a great success overall and employees will be talking about the films from the “Make-a Movie” Film Festival not only to each other but outside the wall of Pointsec. Thank you for making me shine!”

Mission Possible
This fun interactive team building program is loosely based on the legendary 60s TV favorite Mission Impossible. The event begins with arrival of Agent Phelps, who enters with news of a top-secret conspiracy to undermine the group’s success. He conducts a witty “security screening,” asking participants to answer unusually probing security clearance questions. The group is next divided into Mission Possible task forces. Each is presented with a series of top-secret directives, along with all equipment required to complete their mission.
After a short but crucial planning session, everyone embarks on the missions. These involve a series of funny challenges such as clothing exchanges, jingle and slogan writing, fanciful logo design and providing superior “customer service” to strangers (documented on Polaroid film). Although the premise suggests a competitive event, these missions are designed to be group supportive, and the various task forces develop a sense of interdependency early in the activity.
Once the missions are complete, everyone returns for a chance to present their successes to the group. This is followed by a summary talk by Phelps, who draws appropriate analogies and lessons from the mission achievements. The key message: working as a team ensures that your group will never again face a Mission Impossible. Loads of fun, and right on target.
Outcomes
- Small-team focus with broad cross-team goals
- Fun adventure with a wide range of challenges
- Morale booster
- Friendly competition
Features
- A fast and fun secret agent challenge that highlights teamwork!
Ideal Usage
- Conventions/retreats
- Training events
- Sales meetings
Group Size
- Ideally suited for groups up to 150.
Time
- 2 – 3 hours
Space
- Flexible to the environment.
Experience
- “Mission Possible went very well. Our team really enjoyed it, and it was the highlight of the meeting. We look forward to using Team Bonding again in the future.”

Understanding Personality Traits: Using the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) to Enhance Teamwork
Having diverse personalities within an organization can be a tremendous asset, and capitalizing on the types of personalities in your group can enhance productivity, efficiency, and creativity while decreasing unproductive conflict and radically improving team dynamics. Often times we see that the most prolific groups are comprised of individuals possessing assorted traits. Understanding and capitalizing on the types of personalities in your group can enhance productivity, efficiency, and creativity while decreasing unproductive conflict. When a group has a clear picture of the personalities of its members and harnesses the potential, you can radically improve team dynamics.
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) begins with an assessment which indicates various personality types. It will determine the big picture composition of your group and highlight how different people react to the circumstances around them.
The Understanding Personality Traits (MBTI) Workshop will:
- Increase awareness of the types of personalities that make up your group
- Demonstrate how awareness of personality styles can translate into positive behavior and better understanding
- Show how a group is more successful if there is balance among members
- Clearly define personality types so that the terminology can be implemented regularly in the workplace, allowing individuals to address differences respectfully and productively
- Explain thinking, processing, organization, and decision making associated with each personality style
- Describe how self-knowledge of an individuals’ learning style and communication preferences can affect others
Outcomes
- Increased appreciation of each other within the team
- An understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the personalities of the group
- Develop better leadership throughout your team
- Renewed and increased self-awareness
- Improved communication skills
- Reduction in destructive conflict

Openers, Energizers & Initiatives
Start up your meeting with a rocket booster of good group energy, and keep it going with Teambonding’s Ice Breakers, Openers and Energizers.
Openers are high energy, brief exercises that get everyone pumped up, mingling around the room, and quickly connected in ways that might take days to accomplish otherwise. Openers also set a positive tone immediately, and let people know that this meeting will be nothing like the traditional meetings of days past. Depending on the meeting’s key themes and audience dynamics, there are scores of Openers that are sure-fire successes for kicking off your meeting right.
Energizers are brief, interactive exercises and surprising games that you can Plug n’ Play at key points throughout your agenda, and keep everyone guessing about “What the heck is going to happen next?”
Energizers work best when they are pre-planned, and thematically linked to meeting topics or principles, and get people actively involved in expressing that topic through fun and upbeat sounds, voice, movement, and interpersonal contact. Also, Energizers give people a needed physiological boost, and a mental break from the usual meeting format.
Initiatives
- These activities tend to require teamwork, trust, open communication, and creative problem solving. Individual roles and group dynamics are discussed after each activity. As play continues, teams acquire new information that rewards flexibility and inter-team communication. Unexpected events occur causing teams to improvise, adapt and collaborate with other teams to accomplish the objectives.
*No meeting is complete without some well placed Openers, Energizers & Initiatives like Secret Agent, Personal Best, Group Juggle,, Human Bingo, Hero and Villain, Incorporations, Two Truths and a Lie, Ball Toss Patterns, and many others.
Experience
- “All I can say is “Outstanding!” Teambonding was a great addition to our retreat. It was exactly what we needed. It was engaging, funny, and very personable and professional. The entire team was impressed. Thank you again for working with us and setting this up and please pass on our kudos to Milo. Last night, I sent an e-mail to all of my personal contacts letting them know what a quality company TeamBonding is.”

Operation Military Care
Operation Military Care is an impactful program that will put your group through an engaging, team-building activity leading up to the final challenge – the care package assembly for our military heroes!
It all begins with the entire group broken up into sub-teams and placed in different starting locations. From the start, these teams are required to gather items and materials that will comprise the care packages. These items are spread over a large area. Travel is difficult as the team must use “stepping stones” (walking pads) during the journey. From competition to collaboration, teams realize that only a shared, concerted effort will allow the project task to be completed on time.
You’ll be amazed at how energizing and uplifting this event can be for everyone involved, and what your team can accomplish back at work after an event that pulls everyone together for such a rewarding cause. We offer an optional post-activity facilitated discussion, which of course can be customized to underscore your event theme, company positioning, etc. This is one project that will be talked about for months in the workplace!

Partners in Crime
Join the Bumbling Bobbies for the high-energy, laugh-a-minute team-building comedy: Partners in Crime! Their warmth and good-natured foolery invite participants to let loose and have fun! Partners in Crime is 3-scene comedy that’s designed to be performed around a three-course meal.
During the intermission, teams are encouraged to create a solution to the mystery. There is no right answer! This is an exercise in creativity, and, along with using the evidence recorded in Scene Two, teams are encouraged to incorporate details from their work environment into the solutions.
Scene Three will reveal all the solutions! As a result of creating their solutions based on the evidence from Scene Two, these solutions often contain striking similarities, reveal shared experiences from work, and serve to strengthen relationships and camaraderie within your group. A “winning” solution is chosen. Prizes are awarded to the five audience members who played parts in the show, as well as to the winning team.
Partners In Crime can work with a luncheon, dinner or any type of meeting in almost any venue including boats, trains, boardrooms, hotel meeting rooms and lounges. The suggested audience size is 20 to 60 people.

Great Pizza Challenge
It’s official: pizza is the single most popular food in all the world. There are a million ways to make it, and almost as many ways to enjoy it. Now this delectable dish also provides the perfect vehicle for a fun, festive and delicious hands-on team building experience. Communications? Teamwork? Leadership skills? We serve ‘em up fresh daily.
Your fabulous teambonding facilitators divide everyone into groups as you ease into two or three hours of friendly competition. But there’s more to this than simply teams tossing fresh ingredients on a crust – your teams earn money by competing in a series of gentle mental challenges based around pizza trivia. It’s the perfect warm-up.
And once the goods are in the oven? Teams each get to name their Pizza, do a Pizza toss with our unique “throw dough” and even design a logo to adorn the box. They also create a 30-second commercial to perform for the entire group. As always, creativity and originality are essential ingredients! After everyone gets to sample each unique pizza, one team will be crowned champions. But this really is an event where everyone wins.
Whether your taste buds lean toward Chicago, New York or Sicily, or even something as adventurous as sushi pizza, everyone will come away smiling (and full). And the newfound team building skills will start paying dividends back in the workplace from day one.

Play to Win!
Play to Win is a half-day program featuring a customized combination of Ice Breakers, Energizers and fun Team Challenges. The idea here is that you speak with one of our facilitators about the specific approach that’ll work best for your team building. After we conduct a needs analysis, we will present you a detailed recommendation. From your perspective, the process will be both quick and easy.
Whatever we come up with together, Play to Win will have you moving around, but none of the activities will require anyone’s feet to leave the ground. All of the exercises present difficult mental challenges designed to help you achieve the desired outcomes regardless of physical ability. Each person will always have choices about how they want to participate. A very successful Grand Finale to Play to Win is the popular Pipeline game.
This is a perfect choice for creating team spirit and excitement while helping participants get to know each other better. A debrief led by our facilitator uncovers group dynamics, team strengths and communication issues. The group then brainstorms ways to formalize and maximize your communication and total team potential. A proven winner!
Icebreakers: These or others (but not all) may be incorporated in your customized program.
Playing Favorites
The facilitator gives topics such as favorite music and favorite pastime. Players quickly find everyone else who shares the same tastes. A mix of high-energy fun and discovering commonalties with colleagues helps people expand their relationships beyond day-to-day work roles.
Have You Ever?
Everyone is given a Bingo card with characteristics and hobbies personalized for your company on a grid. Find others who fit these descriptions, write their names in the appropriate boxes and get cry Bingo before your coworkers do! One of our favorite mixers!
Full Contact Bingo
The facilitator gives topics such as favorite music and favorite pastime. Players quickly find everyone else who shares the same tastes. A mix of high-energy fun and discovering commonalties with colleagues helps people expand their relationships beyond day-to-day work roles.
Quick Line-Ups
By height, by hair length, in alphabetical order by name in less than 60 seconds. Fast moving fun.
Cocktail Party
Pairs are given questions to ask each other and report out on later. These generate a mix of interesting facts and humorous stories. This exercise can be used with any desired depth of questions to help people get to know each other better.
Team Challenges
- Develop critical team performance competencies. The participants must work together and communicate well in order to succeed at the activities
- Create team spirit, excitement and help participants get to know each other better
These or others (but not all) may be incorporated in your customized program.
On Target
The group is divided into separate groups and given a task, efforts to deliver a maximum number of balls into specific buckets within strict time deadlines in the midst of a rapidly changing environment. As the activity progresses the participant’s find that they must challenge their own assumptions about competition, problem solving, and “the way it’s always been done,” in order to reach their goals. Critical performance competencies such as innovation, effective brainstorming, finding win-win solutions with co-workers and vendors, etc., are practiced and refined.
Picture This
You have some of the information but can you communicate what you know? Who will see the big picture?
Each person gets images that are part of a larger sequence. Together the group must decipher the sequence and get them laid out in order without any person seeing anyone else’s images while the clock ticks! Will the group see the big picture in time or will they get bogged down in details…or worse yet, fail to notice a crucial part of the image in time? This complex verbal communication skill builder has a powerful “a-ha” factor that makes the grand unveiling unforgettable!
Multi-task Madness
Participants develop a system to keep a record number of objects in the air as they move them between group members
Info Swap or Bust
Two sub-teams must work to achieve success in two separate activities; however, each team’s success is directly connected to their abilities to share their best practices with the other team.
Better Get Better On Target
In this high-energy exercise, teams are given a task with a tight deadline. They must develop and improve a solution through successive attempts. As the activity progresses, participants find that they must assign roles, clarify rules, and find ways to improve their score repeatedly. They also learn from watching other teams, and must decide whether competition or collaboration with others will achieve their goals more effectively.
Islands
The participants are divided into Managers, Experienced Employees and New Hires in this simulation. Each sub-group has its own tasks to perform, along with its own goals to reach. Just as in real organizations, they eventually begin asking questions like “What is the common goal?” and “Why are we not reaching it?” The conflict involved closely mirrors real-life dynamics participants face at work.

Product Pipeline
This spirited interactive business simulation encourages participants to work together within their small teams, as well as within the larger “company.” Each small team or “department” of 4 to 8 people works in an 8’x8’ area that is connected to the working areas of other teams.
Groups must use limited supplies (PVC, balloons, bamboo stakes, rubber bands, etc.) to construct a device that will safely transport the maximum number of marbles. The real clincher: each team’s section of the pipeline must interface with those before and after it. Your pipeline has minimum marble “revenue” requirement to meet. Pipeline departments also have a budget that they can spend on additional materials. Your designated marketing department presents a wonderfully creative pitch for the pipeline product before the final moment of truth. This diversity of roles gives everyone a chance to be included.
This is a great way to emphasize big-picture thinking, and clearly demonstrates how individual contributions add up to overall group success. Product pipeline includes a customizable debrief focusing on team effectiveness, communication, seeing the big picture, and time and resource management. Come on, let’s get the ball rolling!

The group was skeptical at first but, by the end, everyone was involved in something. Not an easy task with 200 people. It was very fun to see the meeting chair sitting on the floor in front of Rob, listening to him present the wrap up to the group. From start to finish we were pleased.”

Pub Crawl Scaventure
First, there was the pub crawl. Then came the scavenger hunt. Now, for corporate groups in search of treasure on and off the rocks, teambonding has morphed these two popular concepts into the only and one Pub Crawl Scaventure. Unlike other pub crawls, which focus mainly on imbibing, our journey includes mind games, scavenger hunting, plus delectable trivia.
Your teams visit up to five bars, learning fascinating facts about spirits (did you know that in Fairbanks, Alaska, it is illegal to serve beer to a moose?) and unique drink recipes. Teams will also be on the hunt for treasures like mermaid-shaped swizzle sticks and other bar memorabilia. After completing hilarious challenges at each pub, teams race to the next venue, where progress is rewarded with spirits and other prizes. At the final destination, each team creates and names its own signature cocktail, with samples of the winning drink provided for the entire group.
Pub Crawl Scaventure can be tailored to your city of choice, and further fine-tuned to fit any other specific needs or requests. We also offer a non-alcoholic version of the game, Grub Crawl Scaventure, which incorporates most of the same elements as the Pub Crawl Scaventure. Either way, you’re in for some serious team building fun!

Quest for the Holy Grail
Even after all these years, the search for the fabled Holy Grail continues. Give your teams a chance to find this elusive cup once and for all. This event does a fabulous job combining riddle solving, negotiation, scavenger hunting and strategy into one highly involving quest.
It seems King George has a problem. The Holy Grail, which is of both sentimental and financial significance, has been stolen and hidden by the evil Lord Kinsale. King George must protect the Grail and the secrets it contains, so he has requested assistance from your company. Naturally, the team that finds the Grail earns a valuable reward.
The magical Grail Game Board has 21 mysterious doors. Behind one lies the Grail. Using a variety of clues, teams work together using the process of elimination to guess which is the correct door. The catch? Choose the wrong door, and your team is out of the competition. Clue categories include The Written Word, Foreign Languages, Multimedia and Potpourri. Some involve trivia questions, while other pose mind-bending riddles. True to its name, the Multimedia category even requires careful listening to audio clues.
The whole event is challenging on many levels, loads of fun, and a great way to engage the minds of everyone present. This works well to create friendly bonds within diverse groups, and in the end everyone comes away a winner.

Go for the Gold – Record Breakers
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to capture the energy, passion and fervor of the Olympics within your own work team? Presenting a high-energy teambuilding event unlike anything you’ve ever seen before – 30 brazenly hilarious competitive events, 30 records to break – all at the same time!
Your group is divided into teams, each of which is given an extensive list of records to set and beat (regardless of physical ability, everyone is able to participate). Teams pull together as they strategize, plan and decide which records to go for. But there’s a catch – each team is attempting to beat the very same records. This means no top score is safe for long, because the team next to you may be working to break the record you just set! As the event draws to a close, teams gather around the Official Record Board to learn who scored the fastest, longest, funniest, zaniest, etc.
This laugh-a-minute program is definitely designed for groups who like measurable results, as every score is clearly posted for all to see. We can easily customize events to fit your company (example: integrate specific company brands or products into some records). You can also let different departments compete on different days, or even raise the stakes by competing against other companies!

Rickey Rackety Car Derby
This event is the ultimate in teamwork, skill development, use of resources and trust as teams build various styles of cars.
PVC CAR DERBY
NASCAR has nothing to compare with these racers! Your teams will build and decorate a car that will race against time and other entries to see who will get to the Winner’s Circle.
Teams are provided tires, axles, limited lumber and some tools. Teams develop a blueprint, build a car complete with chassis and body, pass a safety inspection and then “Let the Race Begin.” For the less physical folks, there is also a racing suit to be designed, as well as a team chant.
After the construction is complete, people-powered car race for the gold. Ingenuity and teamwork are the focus of this fast-paced event that puts the “T” in Teamwork!
PIMP YOUR RIDE
Everyone has a dream car: that one special automobile that is fashioned for style, comfort and speed. Just like on the television series, you’ll get a chance to “pimp” someone else’s ride. Your group will be divided into teams made up of planners, supervisors and builders. The goal: to build a model car to the “owner’s” specifications.
Each team receives a unique owner profile which outlines the car’s look, speed and budget. Planners will develop the construction budget, timeline and materials list for purchase. Supervisors will insure the team follows the timeline and budget guidelines, as well as assign various tasks and supervise the project. Builders will pimp the ride (perform the actual hands-on labor).
Teams will be judged not only on their teamwork, but meeting budget and building within specification. The final challenge will be a series of races on a downhill plywood track. Do you want to build consensus in your group? Do you want to strengthen communication skills while promoting a sense of camaraderie? Then ‘Pimp Your Ride’ – it’s the best deal on wheels!
Your program comes complete with sound, music, decorations and awards for the top two teams, plus all necessary car building supplies and tools. We also provide an engaging Master of Ceremonies, and enough courteous event staff to ensure that all goes smoothly.
Outcomes
- Increase team communication

Space
- An empty parking lot or large paved area is ideal. We’re also happy to stage this event in a large indoor space. Contact us for full details.
Experience
- “We couldn’t be more satisfied with our Rickety Rackety Car Derby experience. We contacted you on very short notice (at the end of December) for a series of meetings in January in 4 different locations around the country. Your team responded quickly and were able to scale up or down based upon the meeting size. This tied in directly to the theme of our meetings. At one location, we were asked to quiet down by a meeting going on next door…we were having too much fun!
Harry and Pat and all of the crews worked with our meeting planning groups to ensure that everything went smoothly. We changed the activity around a little bit to allow for some structured debriefing which Pat and Harry seamlessly worked in to the program.
The teambuilding event tied our whole meeting together and really left a positive message with everyone who attended. Several people told me afterward that this was the most fun and informative meeting they have attended in several years with Shell. Thanks to everyone who made it possible.”

Teambonding’s School for Spies event is our enhanced, totally up-to-date evolution of our original “Spy” program. This hilarious new version features more spies, super high-quality production values, plus improved spy exercises with the kind of innovations you’ve come to expect from Teambonding upgrades.
The nation’s most prestigious espionage training academy, the School for Spies, is about to hold its annual graduation. Everyone attending has invested years of grueling effort to become part of the elite group that gets all the glamorous assignments. These lucky few are also the spies who get all the cool new gadgets.
The problem is, there’s only room at the top for a few outstanding spies. So think of this as your final exam – the chance to prove once and for all who really deserves those international assignments, flying cars and big expense accounts..
Your group is divided into teams representing high-level intelligence organizations from around the world. Each team is armed with a briefing package including coded messages, top-secret passwords, audio tapes, electronic bugging devices and things too highly classified to mention here. Participants must break codes, follow clues, and retrieve sensitive information, all while pushing their mental acuity (and their scruples) to the limit. Some challenges require stealth and cunning. Others call on creativity and imagination. At least one features guns loaded with genuine rubber suction darts. Almost all require that you leave honesty and integrity at home.
We know of no better way to help your team get to know one another. This event is a wildly exciting step away from the day-to-day routine, and always filled with surprises. It’s also really effective at pushing out-of-the-box thinking. Let’s face it, success as a high level international spy these days requires a lot of right-brain ingenuity.
There’s a reason Teambonding is widely acknowledged as the absolute leader in corporate team building (lots of reasons, really). After just one School for Spies encounter, you’ll see for yourself why we’re considered the best at what we do.
The Story behind School for Spies
Back in 1998, Teambonding introduced Spy School, a radically innovative concept in corporate team building. In almost no time, the event became wildly popular. We found ourselves staging programs throughout the U.S., as well as in Europe, Australia and Canada.
Believe it or not, our client list soon grew to include the U.S. military, along with several real U.S. government intelligence agencies. We admit it – we were shocked too. Insurance companies wanted in. Credit card companies. Defense contractors.
In late 2004, our writer left and while he created the original program, we’re happy to report that in true Teambonding fashion, we have continued, to grow, enhance, and fine-tune this highly effective concept. As a result, today’s School for Spies client roster includes the National Reconnaissance Office, Goldman Sachs, Verizon, ThermoFisher and dozens of other teams representing many of the world’s largest and most successful companies.
Is your company ready to enroll in our School for Spies?

A.C. – Merck & Co.
- “We were absolutely delighted with the spy program. It exceeded all our expectations. Without exception, everyone in attendance participated. No one felt awkward or embarrassed. No one felt silly and singled out. In terms of getting a diverse group of people to interact, I can’t think of anything better. The staff were excellent. They were helpful, witty and inclusive.
- I am happy to wholeheartedly recommend this activity to any other group within the firm thinking about a team building exercise. I’d be happy to speak to anyone first hand with my recommendation and endorsement.”

Secret Agent Man
Imagine that behind your company’s carefully crafted facade, your team is actually a fabulous international network…of spies! One of your informants has learned that 007 himself, James Bond, is finally planning to retire into a well-deserved life of leisure. Q and Moneypenny are now actively engaged in the search for the next Bond.
Does someone on your team have what it takes to lead a life of international intrigue? Can your people maintain cool heads in the face of unspeakable dangers? Are they willing to risk everything? You’re about to find out.
Things get shaken and stirred when the evil Dr. Maybe and his equally evil henchman (teambonding CharActors all) arrive to break up the fun. A full fight breaks out in front of your astounded guests. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, a murder takes place right before your eyes. Now it’s up to your group to figure out who’s behind it. And who’s that new Bond girl? Expect the unexpected as the mysterious Ivana Luvvayou and her accomplices compete to assist Bond – or die trying.

Song Division – The Sound of Teamwork
Everyone loves music – it transcends age, gender, class and culture. Guided by Song Division’s amazing musicians and facilitators, participants will enjoy the creative buzz of a song-writing competition, coming up with all the music and lyrics. No musical experience is required and the resulting collaboration will be performed and recorded with the support of our professional band.
Teams compete as they write their songs – who will write the next hit? The focus is not on the performance or singing (no-one is made to sing on their own, unless of course they want to!), but about creative, collaborative songwriting. It reveals new employee talents that many people may not have known existed. Get the senior exec to bring out her Janis Joplin alter ego, reveal the new Timbaland from accounts!
It’s ‘interactive entertainment’ so it’s a team activity that’s not too obvious about being team building. Great for the cynics and gen yer’s… The recorded song is the perfect takeaway and memento of the event and can be played on the company intranet or as a back drop at other events.
Forget the group hug at the end. We prefer to destroy guitars! Well, ok, not really…

Tabletop NASCAR
You might remember the famous Cub Scout Pinewood Derby. Now teambonding offers the same car kits, plus a four lanes racetrack with all the fanfare and regalia of a NASCAR event. Tabletop NASCAR is a competitive team building event that gets the entire crowd involved as teams design and build model cars to race against one another.
First, teams participate in challenges that earn them “money” to spend at the Auto Parts Store. They purchase the basic car kit, and can rent woodworking tools by the minute. Together, they must design a car, shape and customize it, and paint it. But the highlight of the day’s activities is the actual racing: heats which fold teams into three finals, so even losing cars have a chance at glory. The suspense builds as cars screech down the track in a series of heats, Semi-Finals and Final Championships.

Action throughout is narrated by our Track Announcer, backed with exciting music. Once final victory is claimed, trophies you’ve chosen and provided are handed out at a hilarious Awards Ceremony. In the end, everyone is a winner.
For team building at its best…ladies and gentlemen, start your engines!

Team Cuisine
If there’s one thing we all have in common, it’s that we like to eat. The Team Cuisine team building experience is a fun and effective way to bring diverse team members together, bond as a group and learn more about each other through food preparation, cooking and dining together.
Working as a team, you get to prepare, enjoy and celebrate a serious multi-course gourmet meal. The idea here is to combine ingredients, dishes and styles of food from around the world onto one mouthwatering menu, to represent the diverse cultures, ethnic backgrounds and tastes of your participants. We focus on your group’s experience first, and then match the food to your specific event.
Team Cuisine is teambonding’s flagship team building experience. Through the use of food preparation, your team will experience itself realizing their high potentials and understand themselves better collectively as a team. This program makes an especially great choice for getting everyone on board quickly on the first day of a company conference, or as a celebratory event after a successful project completion.
Choose our Teflon Chef™ variation if you wish to add a competitive edge between teams. In this version, awards are given at the end of the experience to honor every team’s contribution to the final outcome.

Team Teddy Rescue Bear
This is the original teddy bear team building event! Each team has puzzles to solve, codes to decipher, and secrets to unlock in order to acquire the resources that they need (part by part) to build a series of custom teddy bears.
Team Teddy Bear is a unique way to bring your own team together while providing priceless comfort to children who experience a car accident, house fire or injury. More than 11 million children are transported for medical care each year. A Rescue Bear given by a police officer or firefighter can be a powerful way to help ease pain and worries, calming a child significantly at a potentially frightening time.
Participants divide into small work teams. Each group must complete a series of games/challenges to earn team points. For the final thirty minutes or so, teams use their accumulated points to “purchase” all parts and accessories necessary to build a high-quality Rescue Bears. Teams choose shoes, clothing and props to add life and personality to their furry new creations. Even the bear assembly itself is served up as friendly competition, with groups racing to complete yet another novel but highly engaging task. Each group also makes a cape, handbag, or some other piece of clothing, which will be personally signed by each team member.
Once the bears are completed, they are presented to your local police or fire department. To maximize the event’s positive emotional impact, you can even arrange for a fire truck and/or police car to show up. The stories these local heroes tell can really bring your newly created bears to life.
Participants in this fun, challenging program exercise critical thinking and problem solving skills while taking part in a wonderfully altruistic event. For everyone involved, the benefits are truly priceless.

Teflon Chef
Get ready for the food to start flying as your Teflon Chef teams face off against each other in a frenetic culinary battle of champions. You beforehand which Teflon Chef battleground to compete in – Italian, French, Mexican, Organic, seafood, beef, poultry or vegetarian. During the cook-off, chefs race to complete a definitive multi-course meal.
Test your cooking, negotiation, bartering, and buying skills by best utilizing the puny budget allotted you. Buy key ingredients or hire our consultant Teflon Chef (who won’t cook for you, but will be happy to help with your team process and get you going in the right direction). The competition is fun but fierce, and speed is critical.
To add to the drama, the Mystery Ingredient Du Jour must be prominently used in all of the dishes. This magic ingredient could be anything from king crab, ketchup, or lemon grass to lettuce or lobster. As you might imagine, the results can get a little crazy – around here, foie gras ice cream comes with the territory.
A distinguished group of discerning and hilariously outspoken judges determine who reigns victorious. But regardless of the outcome, you’re guaranteed one thing – nobody will go away hungry!

Time Flies
“Until we can manage time, we can manage nothing else.”
Peter F. Drucker
Do you regularly find yourself saying “there are just not enough hours in the day”? Do you find yourself torn between the demands of work and your personal life? You’re not alone. People feel busier now more than ever before. Advanced technologies create new challenges by allowing us to be contacted 24 hours per day, seven days per week via PD, email, and cell phones. Shorter deadlines, competing priorities, and global business exacerbate the problem. There are, however, steps you can take to regain control of your “to do” list.
Our Time Flies workshop was developed after years of researching and studying the techniques and strategies of successful individuals and corporations. We provide the tools and resources necessary to place control back into the hands of even the busiest and overwhelmed individual.
The Time Flies workshop will:
- Define “efficient” and “effective” and discuss the importance of each
- Ask participants to ponder the question “Is this the best use of my time?”
- Show how to manage interruptions such as phone calls, visitors, and emails
- Reveal the remarkable impact of a proactive approach to time management
- Accentuate the benefits of long-term planning
- Provide insight for determining whether or not something is “important” or “urgent”
Outcomes
- Self-empowerment and the sense that you control your schedule, it does not control you
- Superior prioritization skills
- The willpower to say “no” and the ability to recognize these types of situations
- The confidence to delegate when necessary
- The ability to schedule strategically

Treasure Hunt Adventure
This exciting new team building activity fosters group effectiveness in a fun, unique way. We’ve based it on the Scandinavian sport of orienteering (now an Olympic event), where participants use a detailed map to find flags in the forest. The teambonding version is built around a custom-made map of your conference center, and includes an industrial-strength dose of fun. This program can be skewed to be more physical or more cerebral per your direction.
The object is to find the key to the treasure chest. Your full group is divided into sub-groups, each with its own set of clues to find. Individual teams soon realize that the only way to locate the treasure is by working together. Some clues can only be acquired when the group completes a fun challenge. These clues can be presented as either Trivial Pursuit or Jeopardy-style questions. We can also add customized questions about your company. Each sub-group’s immediate goal is assembling their part of the riddle. When combined, these add up to reveal a final riddle. The excitement builds to a crescendo as all sub-groups now join forces to find the key.
Since everyone contributes to the success of this search, all get to share in the treasure. This can be a token or memento of your seminar, a T-shirt emblazoned with your company or event slogan, or whatever you desire.
Outcomes
- Encourage strategic thinking
- Practice negotiation skills
- Effective group decision-making
Features
- An great team challenge created around the newly hot sport of orienteering!
Ideal Usage
- Retreats
- Company picnics/outings
- Sales meetings
Group Size
- 20 – 1,000
Time
- Typical treasure hunts last several hours. However, some firms prefer a full day centered around traditional orienteering in a local forest.
Space
- This activity is best suited out of doors, but we’ll be happy to identify alternate rain sites within your hotel or conference center.
Experience
- “The feedback on the treasure hunt was wonderful and even some of our staunchest ‘critics’ had a great time. We will be holding another retreat in the fall of 2008, and I’ll be sure to hook up with you again. Thank you for all of the support—Chris and his team were well prepared and the event was well executed and fun!”

Trial by Dinner
Trial by Dinner is a hilarious spoof on justice that runs the length of your evening meal. The dining audience is plunged into an ongoing court session delivered by a cast of hilarious teambonding CharActors, complete with judge’s bench and witness stand in the middle of the dining environment.
Once all guests are seated, the prosecutor calls the court to order and bids the court to rise and make way for the presiding judge. The judge runs quickly over the docket for the evening, calling the prosecuting attorney to the bench. Before the various cases are heard, it is determined that a rigorous jury selection process must take place. Randomly selected members of the audience are called forward and questioned as potential juror. This process becomes a half hour of comedic interaction between actors and individual members of the audience.
All of the cases presented before the bench will be carefully contrived scenarios based on inside information you’ve provided teambonding. Each case features a damning presentation by the prosecution, followed with an extremely limited defense by the accused. The verdict is drawn from the audience by a common vote. Inevitably all accused are found guilty, and are remanded for harsh sentencing.
Throughout the evening, a three-piece musical combo neatly dovetails with the comedic proceedings, effectively creating a seamless and highly entertaining presentation.

Virtual Teambonding
A vacation free from e-mail, cell phones, beepers and voice mail may sound like a dream come true. But imagine a workday without them – yikes! Whether we like it or not, the business world has moved way beyond pink message pads and weekly meetings. Welcome to the virtual world, where business is conducted via phone and computer and PDA. A big part of this world? The Virtual Team. We define this as any group that works together to accomplish goals without close physical proximity. Or, for that matter, any team whose main means of communication are electronic.
Virtual teambonding simulates a day in the life of a virtual team. From conference call meetings to e-mail agendas, your team must work together, though physically apart, to reach a common goal. Under the guidance of teambonding facilitators, teams race against the clock, sharing ideas and information electronically, in order to meet deadlines. As with any real-life Virtual Team, your teams will face financial and time limitations.
We offer several distinct variations on the virtual theme. These fun simulations range from toxic spill cleanup to building different parts of a bridge without being able to see the parts other teams are creating. Give us an idea of what you want to accomplish, and we’ll offer up a suggestion for the best approach to meet your goals. Whether it’s production deadlines, marketing plans or budget reviews, this real-time simulation helps your team develop new and innovative ways to increase productivity and profitability.
Note: many other teambonding team building activities can also be customized as virtual activities. Ask us about details.
Outcomes
- Enhanced communication skills
- Effective delegation/time management
- Foster big-picture strategic thinking
Features
- Use the latest technology to succeed in a customized real-time simulation!
Ideal Usage
- Management seminars/retreats
- Company reorganization/relocation
- New project kickoffs

- 6 – 60
Time
- Typical sessions vary from one hour to a half day. This program is highly customizable – just let us know what you have in mind!

Wine – From Good to Grape
Leave it to the team building geniuses at teambonding to come up with a competitive wine drinking event. Actually, it’s way more than that – imagine a competitive wine drinking event. One that actually imparts lasting lessons on teamwork and communication while improving company morale. But then, that’s pretty much why we’re here.
Hosted by a TeamBonding facilitator and wine expert , this program is a great way to learn more about wine in a fun yet controlled atmosphere. Your group will enjoy a combination of essential wine knowledge, informative tastings (white and red) along with friendly competition. A carefully chosen selection of wines is typically complimented with cheese, crackers, hors d’oeuvres and lots of enthusiastic questions. There’s even a spirited wine trivia contest.
And the big competition? Subdivided into teams, your group competes to see who can blend up the most alluring batch of Sangria. Teams also develop their own Sangria brands, complete with label design, ad campaign and jingle. It all makes for hilarious good fun and a refreshing break from the day-to-day work world.
Each batch will be subject to a blind taste test. Prizes go to the team with the best Sangria, best winery name, label design and ad campaign. This is a great team building event that encourages creativity, experimentation, and team support in the race to come up with the best product and marketing plan.

So while this event does produce noticeable results, intoxication isn’t one of them. At your request, we are happy to also include non-alcoholic sangria in the Winery Team Challenge.
*Our price for this program does not include costs for room rental, food or beverages. These costs will be determined by your site selection and the group’s actual consumption

X Marks the Spot
It is now an undisputed scientific fact: everybody everywhere loves a good scavenger hunt. Each of our own highly original Scaventures is completely customized to mesh with a specific conference, meeting or management agenda. This is a competitive event that always goes over extremely well, regardless of the theme.

Generally we warm everybody up with one of our popular Ice-Breaker activities, an effective way to get everyone in the mood for play and competition. Next we divide everybody up into teams, supplying each team with the essential tools of the scavenger trade: official rules, answer sheets, maps, Polaroid or digital cameras and more.
Depending upon the theme of your conference, the group can search for trivia, clues, photo opportunities and more. We can also arrange for your teams to encounter hilarious CharActors along the way – anything from pirates to astronauts to archaeologists.
