Join the Movement. Build Your Team. Achieve the Impossible.

United we stand. Divided we fall.

Some of the strongest bonds are forged in the face of challenge and adversity. War, economic collapse, social protests—these circumstances bring people all different backgrounds, from different walks of life; in ways that they might never have met. However, not all bonds are forged on challenge alone. Sometimes teams find their foundations in activities that combine fitness, competition, and good-humored fun.

Events such as Tough Mudder or The Spartan Race provide a chance to experience this kind of intensity. Competing in an obstacle filled race that puts your strength, skills, and ability to work with others as a cohesive unit to the test. Each of the obstacles requires teamwork, unity, and support in order to overcome and achieve each barrier. Participants have the opportunity to embark on races that range from 1 to 12 miles, each filled with numerous obstacles according to the length of the race.

The types of challenges that members of a team face from overcoming obstacle courses together require the following: in-the-moment problem solving, the pressure of working together, all of which are accompanied by the military-based mindset of “No one left behind.” Many participants of these obstacle competitions claim that it is an experience that they would gladly repeat.

To Joy A. from California, choice of teammates makes all the difference: “How do you get through it? Pick a good team. I’m not referring to picking only the strongest or fastest. Pick friends that are dedicated, loyal, and are ready to get down and dirty.

Jerline H. from Washington D. C. confirms this, stating, “I love how much of a teamwork vibe there is going on; even when I was butt sliding down the steep hill I had people come by and try to help me.”

Take it from people like Joy and Jerline who know that a good attitude makes all the difference. Loyalty and dedication outshine talent and ability any day. The support and help of teammates is what helps other press on, move forward, and accomplish their goals.

Join Together. Be Empowered.

Teams are not simply built in a day. They require communication, cohesion, and established rapport through shared experience. Never be afraid to reach out to others and try something new. Who knows? A new friendship or connection with a teammate may be right around the corner.
