A Great Vision is a Great Leader

“Leaders must invoke an alchemy of great vision.”- Henry Kissinger

In order to lead, sometimes it is necessary to inspire. Leaders invoke the passion and drive into their team in order for hard work to be done. Team bonding quotes have the ability to encourage, but they also allow us to remember the great leaders of the past.

This week’s team bonding quote comes from Henry Kissinger. Kissinger is most known for serving as Secretary of State in both the Nixon and Ford administrations and ending American involvement in the Vietnam War. His work in the Paris Peace Accords, which gave way to the withdrawal of American forces in Vietnam, earned him a Nobel Peace Prize in 1973.

During Kissinger’s term as Secretary of State, he believed in practical factors when it came to foreign policy and coined the term détente, the easing of strained relations. This vision gave way for the US to have open relations with the People’s Republic of China and Vietnam during the Cold War.

Strong Leaders Set A Strong Example

To be Secretary of the State for the United States of America is a huge role. The job is to head the State Department and be the US representative for foreign affairs while also being a close adviser to the president. Kissinger is one of the most well known in US history because of the time that he served and the pathway he formed. He set an example of how to lead and followed through with what he thought was best for the country as a whole.
