The Team Building Team
In this series of articles, we take five minutes to chat with a member of the TeamBonding team so you can get an idea of the sort of people we are. In this installment we talk to one of our facilitators, Deborah about forming bonds through the power of play, time travel, and fish tacos.
What is your favorite part of working for TeamBonding?
I love connection through shared experiences and love being a part of creating the spaces that allow people to interact with each other in a unique way. Whether they are chatting on the bus in between stops during Mystery Bus, coming up with a commercial for Charity Bike Build, or taking photos for a Polaroid scavenger hunt, there are key conversations that happen away from the office. I love seeing different companies around the US and helping to form bonds through play.
What is one food group you can’t live without?
So I’m going to cheat and say two things…fruit and cheese. Best if combined (white cheddar slices with a fresh peach from the farmer’s market…for example).
If you could time travel, would you go to the past or the future?
I think France in the early 1900s with Gertrude Stein at 27 rue de Fleurus at one of her dinner parties with famous artists would make for amazing people watching and conversation.
If you could choose one superpower, what would it be and why?
Much like Mystique from X-Men, I would like to be able to transform. It would make for some interesting travel adventures, and then I could really consider taking up a career of being a spy.
If you could invite three famous, historical leaders to dinner, who would you invite and what food would you eat?
So I would like to invite John Muir, Nelson Mandela, and Amelia Earhart and eat some really amazing fish tacos with mango salsa, and chat about their exploration, reconciliation, and leadership, preferably while looking over the ocean.
