Maura Murphy

Event Experience Manager

In this series of articles, we take five minutes to chat with a member of the  TeamBonding team so you can get an idea of the sort of people we are. In this installment, we talked to Event Experience Manager Maura Murphy to learn about her dream vacation, what famous people she would invite to dinner, and more!

What is your favorite part of working for TeamBonding?
My favorite part of working for TeamBonding is the comradery and creativity. Everyone here is kind and collaborative; the work environment says a lot about our commitment to what we do and the importance of team building.

If you could live in a book, TV show or movie, what would it be?
10/10 the Harry Potter Universe. This muggle is waiting for her letter to Hogwarts.

If you could take only three items with you on a deserted island, what would they be?
Realistically, it would be a variety of survival kit items. Probably a boat, fishing rod/kit/box, (I’d have to teach myself to fish and not hook myself or trees – true story), and some sort of water filtration system.

If you could go anywhere on vacation, where would you go?
My top bucket list would be Egypt to see the pyramids. I have big travel plans/ideas, but if I could find a way to make it there, I think it would be wonderful.

What is your favorite food? (If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?)
Mexican, it is hard to choose just one. Homemade crunchy tacos would be at the top, but homemade flour enchiladas, and homemade tamales are right behind that.

What is the name of your favorite restaurant? Where is it located?
La Siesta – Winthrop, MA

If you could choose one superpower, what would it be and why?
Easily the ability to transport anywhere. Travel would be easy, I could avoid traffic, and so much more. (This would include that I can take others with me).

If you could time travel, would you go to the past or the future? The past – I would be too anxious to know the future. There are a lot of amazing things to see in the past.

What is your favorite four-legged creature and why?Dogs, they are just so friendly and caring. I love my little Milo (maltipoo).

If you could invite three famous, historical leaders to dinner, who would you invite and what food would you eat?I am not a history buff, so I don’t know if I have a great answer to this. However, I’d invite Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas to dinner and would let them choose the menu.
