The Team Building Team
In this series of articles, we take five minutes to chat with a member of the TeamBonding team so you can get an idea of what sort of people we are.
In this installment, we talked to Melissa, about her favorite TeamBonding experience, her superpowers, and more.
What is your favorite part of working for TeamBonding?
I enjoy having adult learners obtain new soft skills that they can bring into the workplace through the activity of play.
If you could live in a book, TV show or movie, what would it be?
Alice in Wonderland
If you could take only three items with you on a deserted island, what would they be?
A straw that filters any type of water into clean water, a rod for fishing and a book.
If you could go anywhere on vacation, where would you go?
Maldives, it would be fun to stay in one of those wooden huts along the water. I would also like to get immersed in a culture completely different than my own.
What is your favorite food? (If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?)
It would have to be New York strip steak. (with a side of mashed potatoes, of course)
What is the name of your favorite restaurant? Where is it located?
La Villa, Chicago. The most authentic Sicilian food you are going to find and the owners are family friends.
If you could choose one superpower, what would it be and why?
Definitely, mind-reading – I feel like that would save a lot of time with relationships of all kinds. Honesty is imperative in life.
If you could time travel, would you go to the past or the future?
I would go to the past, I have always wanted to explore in the 70’s. I feel like it would be fun to visit Woodstock and catch that vibe.
What is your favorite four-legged creature and why?
Wolf, they are so majestic and deeply rooted in indigenous cultures. To be a leader of a pack and so connected with the moon has always intrigued me.
If you could invite three famous, historical leaders to dinner, who would you invite and what food would you eat?
Rosa Parks, Lucille Ball, and Frida Kahlo. I would ask them to each bring a dish from their culture pot-luck style.
