Build little library kits & WOW your community!

Putting books in children’s hands has a meaningful impact on improving literacy, and Little Team Library will do just that. Every two teams will work together to assemble and decorate a Little Free Library® with a matching mounting post and bookmark box. In the process, they will get to know each other better by sharing stories and inspiration as they collectively work towards a common goal. We provide all the materials, and everyone will have opportunities to shine as they build and paint. Teams will have to work together to divide and conquer the tasks at hand, all while being prompted to share memories of their own favorite books and literary quotations.

Collaboration is a must to create a cohesive and impactful theme and design that will attract people to your library once it is placed. Participants then designate carpenters and painters to work with another team to build their complete Little Library kit. At the end of the event, each pair of teams presents their finished product and shares their vision for the community with the entire group.

Space requirement

A large space is needed with a table for each team (teams of 8) and chairs for each participant. Additionally, you’ll need 2-3 rectangular tables set aside near the front of the room for event materials. For groups larger than 50, will need a microphone and connected sound system.

A custom placement of the finished libraries is possible with enough notice, as are custom placards for the libraries with 6-8 weeks advance notice.
