Build, Race and Donate STEM Kits!

Make a pit stop for charity! In this educational and stem team building activity, teams become “pit crews” tasked with designing, building, and racing 3 cars from the provided STEM kits. They will work together to assemble their racers carefully and to accompany these kits, they will also create 5 STEM challenges for the students to complete with their cars.

Pit crews will be evaluated based on the design, functionality, and performance of their cars, along with their race times. The teamwork and creativity demonstrated during these team building STEM activities will culminate in an exciting race against fellow participants.

STEM Speedway will wrap up with the packing of materials for donation and the announcement of the overall winners! Teams will package the materials as instructed, and all racers and challenges will be donated to students through local non-profits, allowing them to explore sustainable vehicle design and engineering concepts. Each pit crew will write a note card to share with the student receiving their donation.

This STEM team building activity makes a meaningful impact on students by providing them with a lasting gift of hands-on learning and innovation.

For this stem team building activity, you’ll need a table with chairs for each team, a large and open space for the racing track, HDMI, plus a compatible screen and sound system.
